Both humour and spirituality involve revelation. To see how 1/DAD JOKE = GOD, we will allow that a joke has both a prelude and a punchline. This is its form. A weak joke, or a particularly weak or unsuccessful joke, a.k.a. a dad joke, fails, or is cringeworthy, because the anticipation of laughter constructed by the prelude, isn’t satisfied by the punchline. Maybe the finale is obvious, or maybe, the two parts of the joke simply aren’t reconcilable. There is form, but there is no humour (or spirit) held with in it. the opposite of something with form yet without spirit, is something formless but completely spiritual. this is an acceptable definition for god. being opposite to god, and bad as they may be, we should not conclude that dad jokes are the devil.
